Ragged Edge Beads, a small community of jewelry makers, is hoping to bring beadists together from the capital region area. Every two weeks the group will me at the Ragged Edge Print Studio to learn and share with companions of the beading family and work on unified-featured project. Additionally, we  want to encourage beadists to bring in projects from home to share, ask questions, and work on in the company of others.

This September, we will start the adventure with the beautiful wire formed tree pendants, also known as trees of life. These trees offer unity and versatility to many jewelers styles and color pallettes. The tree is composed in a metal circle; the twisted wire is transformed by your imagination; and optional bead emblishments add to the final composer. We will charge a small material fee for the metal ring and bead wire; however, you can choose to bring or buy beads ranging in size from 4mm to 6mm (e.g. crystals, gemstone chips, pearls).

These were so much fun to make. Please let me know, if you’re interested in any of the pieces!

For my party on February tenth, I featured hearts designs. Check out some of the designs below. If you see something you like, I could design something similar for you.

Trees are one of the most beautiful creations that are often overlooked, so when I saw these little delicate trees, I just had to learn how to make them. I have become inspired by the stones and natural colors that give these trees their appeal. I have used carnelian, lapis, malachite, amethyst, pink quartz, laborite, jade, glass, and more to bring life to these little trees.

For those who find these trees just as intriguing as I do; you will just have to get your hands on them. I would love to custom make a tree for you with your color and stone of choice . Also Swaroski crystals or graduated pearls would also go great on these little trees.

With Valentine’s Day, Easter, and Spring around the corner you could use a little something to brighten your winter smile. This months featured pieces will be hearts, crosses, and trees. Please feel free to invite friends and family. I will have over a hundred different styles for you look at with Jewelry prices starting at five dollars.

We all know times are tough right now, but I keep my prices low since I want to pay for my hobby and not kill your budget. Also I will be taking any custom orders or open to hosting private parties. Please email me if you are attending, have any questions, or other.

Stay posted for the many pictures of my unique collection!
